Day Two (is he really going to count down all the days...)

Ok, so Yesterday was a day of extremes. We began the day at the "Giant" grocery store...picked up some paper goods, and also some cleaning supplies, Brenna got some books, and we headed back to the condo. We found that the bathroom ceiling is still leaking, and it was worse. We also discovered that there is no water in the bathrooms. Good Times!! We cleaned a bit and then called the property manger to get this stuff taken care of, we will see how that goes, i am not holding my breath. On our way out of the place we met our neighbor, Nina, and her youngest daughter. She is from Oregon, and has an older daughter who is a year younger than Brenna, goes to her school, and has the same birthday (love good karma). We then went to Gurney Plaza Parkson (department store) to get some linens, Brenna found a really cute bedspread (picture). We dropped that stuff off at the condo, and walked down to Kapitans for some Indian food, awesome stuff, love the food!! So the journey continues. Today is a visit to St. Christophers, Brenna's school, getting her uniforms, and possibly waiting for a contractor to fix our condo...Rox has already extended our stay at the hotel.

Day one...

Arrived with no problem, flights were good, both of us wish we could have gotten a bit more sleep. Met by Peggy at the airport, got a cab to the "G" hotel, and our bags followed us. We went out and got some lunch (Chili's) after getting a shower, and then wandered around the mall until we had to meet with Peggy again to get the keys to the condo. In checking out our abode we found some problems, one of them a real downer. the master bathroom has a leak in the ceiling just above the sink...Peggy said that she would have it fixed....not sure if I can believe that....We move in fully on Friday...Scary and Exciting. After the visit and key exchange we went back to the mall and got cell phones. interesting...We now have Malaysian phone numbers. Brenna got McDonald's for dinner and we went to the buffet at the hotel. Not much for a first day, we got some stuff done. Tomorrow it is a quest for Brenna's school uniforms, a visit to the Tesco, and some further shopping for the condo. Day two awaits!

We are as ready as we can be...

The House is empty, we turn over the keys for the renters tomorrow...we will spend some time with family over the next few days to relax and decompress...Monday 3/28/2011 we are off to Penang. Need to make sure I get an El Cap hamberger and a good steak before we go!!
