Brenna had her first day at St. Christopher's School today. Drop off went fine and she seemed to be excited to be there and around her new friends. We found out that pick up is at 2:15, so Roxanne decided to work from home, as we had to meet with Brenna's teacher after school. I ran, Rox worked, I cleaned, rox worked, we ate some lunch, and then took a cab back to school to pick Brenna up and meet the teacher. Now, according to Brenna she had a great day, according to the teacher there was some testing of boundaries. Brenna also slipped in the bathroom, getting ready to swim, bumped her tailbone and sat out from swimming (the teacher said she fell asleep on a chair for around 2 hours, the jet lag is still there for all of us). The class tried to get her positive about the event, the teacher did the same, but if you know Brenna, she had decided that swimming was not happening, so it did not. the teacher also said that she had some trouble with directions, which is common, but she was firm and Brenna followed through, we have been lucky to have teachers all along that wont give in to Brenna's games, and drama...seems like we have that again in Mrs. Masakah (spelling?). Brenna is so lucky to have this opportunity and i think once she has a chance to meet and spend time with the kids and the teacher, the rest of it will be fine. Another really interesting thing happened today, when Roxanne and I were down last September, We had a cab driver who took us around to see all the schools, he was a very nice man, showed us around penang a bit. Well he was the cab driver who picked us up following Brenna's first day...Karma rocks!! The other neat thing is that Brenna's uniforms are all hand made by Madame Ooi...We visited her shop after school with Brenna and she now has three uniforms, and her PE "Kit", White shorts and a red and a white T-Shirt. A Really cool day in Penang today!!
