We stopped off for a cold drink after boarding our Trishaws for the next part of our hunt. We passed by some of the nicer temples and sites in Georgetown.
We also got to see what folks consider one of Penang's national treasures, one of its original artisans who still continues to practice the old standards. This man makes the incense for the Shrines and Temples, all by hand, he was working in sandalwood today and demonstrated for us the different consistency's in the clay that he uses.
We continued on down the artisan area of town and saw quite a few shops that we would defiantly go back into, at another time. We finished our tour and Trishaw ride, at the Chocolate Factory and got some more free samples. I also lost our small digital camera, I thought I had it in the backpack, but I must have left it in the Trishaw, not a good way to end the trip, but I won the camera in a contest...still sucks to lose it!! Anyway, we went onto a nice lunch at the "soul cafe" a tucked away treasure in Penang, off the beaten path, one of those places where the menu changes every day, and it is a nice quiet spot for a bit to eat. Food Porn alert!!
Rox and I had a great Melon Chicken salad with a curry dressing, that was really good, and Brenna had a really good pizza, and got to pet the owners dog.
We got home from our worthwhile adventure and Brenna took a short nap before meeting our friends at the movies to go and see "Rio", in 3D which was pretty cool. We had a nice dinner at a Chinese place on the upper level of the mall, not too bad, and had chicken that Brenna would eat. We are all relaxing with a bit of Football on the TV, and it will be an early night to bed. Rox took a bunch of shots today, it was not easy as we were always moving, or moving with the group. One of her last shots of the day I love, and I am going to replace the header we have on the blog with it, it defines for me what Penang is in a way. Another good day in Penang!! Goodnight all!!
